Company History

Originally founded in 1966 by Jerry Fridrich and Hale Hooper, Fridrich & Clark possesses a distinctive local flavor as both past and present principals are native Nashvillians and graduates of Vanderbilt University. In 1979, Jerry's son, Steve Fridrich, then a college student, launched his real estate career and became a full partner of the firm in 1982. In 1987, Whit Clark came on board after ten years of experience with Morrissey-Clark Realtors, and the transition from one generation to another was complete.

The next progression occurred just in time for the new millennium. Molly Edmondson joined Fridrich and Clark to open the Williamson County office and to expand the company's services to cover the entire Middle Tennessee area. Her staff is well-rounded with 58 experienced agents, many of whom are multi-million dollar producers.

In 2005, Richard Courtney, a long-time broker at Fridrich and Clark, opened the company's third office on Music Row. With 29 full time agents, the Music Row office focuses on buyers and sellers in the urban and suburban areas, from downtown to Belle Meade.

In 2006, Fridrich and Clark celebrated two important milestones - the firm's 40th anniversary and the completion of its beautiful, new headquarters on Bedford Avenue in Green Hills. The three offices combine to make a powerful impact on the Middle Tennessee real estate market. Buyers and sellers reap the rewards of professionalism with a decidedly local flair and the convenience of three locations in the Middle Tennessee area.
